The published winter test is 25 November 2026 and the registration deadline is 21 October 2026. Do not wait until the last days to identify a test centre. Find a language centre or other test provider administering the exam, read its local instructions, and complete registration and payment according to that provider's process.

The fee and what happens if you are ill

The published 2026 fee for the Indfødsretsprøven is DKK 946. The official schedule also states that there is no separate sickness examination. If illness prevents attendance, you generally need to wait for a later test session and pay a new fee, so travel, work and other practical arrangements are worth planning early.

If you have missed the deadline

Official guidance describes a procedure for seeking permission to try to find a test centre with a remaining place after the deadline. Permission is not a guarantee that a place exists.
